DMCA Policy for CrackStreams

Last Updated: February 11, 2026

Digital Millennium Copyright Act Compliance

CrackStreams ("we", "us", or "our") operates as a search engine and directory for live sports streaming links found publicly on the World Wide Web. We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users and the administrators of third-party sites to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 ("DMCA"), the text of which may be found on the U.S. Copyright Office website, CrackStreams will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement committed using the CrackStreams service that are reported to our Designated Copyright Agent identified below.

As a platform that has become synonymous with free sports access, CrackStreams understands the scrutiny it faces. We want to make it unequivocally clear: CrackStreams does not host, upload, archive, store, or distribute any video or media files on its servers. We act solely as an index, similar to Google or Bing, pointing users to content hosted by third parties. Our mission is to organize information, not to pirate content.

1. Our Role as an Intermediary

To understand our DMCA policy, one must first understand the technical architecture of CrackStreams. When a user visits our site looking for an NBA game or a UFC fight, they are presented with a schedule. Clicking a link on that schedule directs the user's browser to an external location—a third-party hosting server—where the stream is actually playing. CrackStreams has no control over these third-party servers. We cannot delete the video file because we do not own the server it sits on.

This distinction is crucial under the DMCA. We fall under the "Safe Harbor" provisions established for service providers that link users to online locations containing infringing material or provide information location tools. However, despite not hosting content, we take our responsibilities seriously and will disable access to links that are proven to lead to infringing material upon receipt of a valid notice.

2. Notice of Copyright Infringement

If you are a copyright owner, or are authorized to act on behalf of one, or authorized to act under any exclusive right under copyright, please report alleged copyright infringements taking place on or through the CrackStreams website by completing the following DMCA Notice of Alleged Infringement and delivering it to our Designated Copyright Agent. Upon receipt of the Notice as described below, CrackStreams will take whatever action, in its sole discretion, it deems appropriate, including removal of the challenged material from the Site.

2.1 Requirements for a Valid Notice

To be effective, your DMCA Notice must be in writing and must include the following information:

3. Counter-Notice Procedure

If you believe that your material that was removed (or to which access was disabled) is not infringing, or that you have the authorization from the copyright owner, the copyright owner's agent, or pursuant to the law, to post and use the material in your content, you may send a counter-notice containing the following information to our Copyright Agent:

If a counter-notice is received by the Copyright Agent, CrackStreams may send a copy of the counter-notice to the original complaining party informing that person that it may replace the removed material or cease disabling it in 10 business days. Unless the copyright owner files an action seeking a court order against the content provider, member or user, the removed material may be replaced or access to it restored in 10 to 14 business days or more after receipt of the counter-notice, at CrackStreams's sole discretion.

4. Repeat Infringer Policy

In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable law, CrackStreams has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances and at CrackStreams's sole discretion, users who are deemed to be repeat infringers. CrackStreams may also at its sole discretion limit access to the Site and/or terminate the accounts of any users who infringe any intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is any repeat infringement.

While CrackStreams generally does not have user accounts for content submission (as we curate links ourselves or through trusted partners), this policy applies to any future community features where user-generated content might be enabled. We maintain a log of DMCA notices and will block IP addresses that consistently abuse our platform to distribute infringing content.

5. Technical Limitations and Reality of Live Streaming

Copyright holders must understand the dynamic nature of live sports streaming. Links on CrackStreams are often valid only for the duration of a specific match—2 to 4 hours. By the time a DMCA notice is processed, the game is often over, and the link is dead naturally. This is not an evasion tactic but a reality of the technology. We strive to automate our takedown processes as much as possible, but the ephemeral nature of live events presents unique challenges.

Furthermore, removing a link from CrackStreams does not remove the content from the internet. The video file resides on a third-party host (often in a jurisdiction with different copyright laws). To effectively stop the infringement, rights holders are advised to direct their takedown notices to the hosting provider where the video file is actually stored.

6. Misrepresentations

Please be aware that under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), you may be liable for any damages, including costs and attorneys' fees incurred by us or our users, if you knowingly materially misrepresent that material or activity is infringing. If you are unsure whether the material you are reporting is in fact infringing, you may wish to contact an attorney before filing a notification with us. CrackStreams will pursue compensation for damages caused by frivolous or malicious DMCA notices.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

The CrackStreams name, logo, and site design are the intellectual property of our administrative team. While we do not claim ownership of the sports broadcasts we link to, we do claim ownership of our directory structure, our original written content, and our code. Copying the "look and feel" of CrackStreams to create phishing sites or clones is a violation of our rights and will be pursued.

8. Changes to This Policy

CrackStreams reserves the right to modify, alter, or otherwise update this DMCA Policy at any time. We will post the modified DMCA Policy on this page and indicate at the top of the page the date the policy was last updated. Please review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we handle copyright compliance.

9. Contacting the Designated Agent

Please send all DMCA notices and counter-notices to our Designated Agent. Due to the high volume of inquiries, we prioritize notices that follow the strict format outlined above.

Why We Support Rights Holders

It may seem counterintuitive for a free streaming index, but CrackStreams supports the sports ecosystem. We believe that fans who can watch games become lifelong customers. Many of our users eventually purchase official subscriptions like NBA League Pass or NFL Sunday Ticket because they developed a love for the game through accessible viewing. We see ourselves as a gateway, not a barrier, to the sports industry.

Education vs. Piracy

A significant portion of our "infringing" traffic comes from regions where official broadcasts are simply not available. In these cases, CrackStreams is the only option for fans to follow their teams. We advocate for global licensing deals that would make platforms like ours obsolete. Until that day comes, we operate within the legal frameworks available to us, respecting valid takedown requests while serving the underserved sports community.

The Future of Copyright in Streaming

As we look towards 2026, the landscape of digital copyright is shifting. Automated content recognition (ACR) and blockchain-based rights management are changing how streams are monitored. CrackStreams is closely watching these developments. We are committed to adapting our platform to ensure we remain a compliant and useful resource for sports fans. We believe the future lies in hybrid models where official rights holders and community-driven platforms can coexist.

Final Note to Users

If you see a link on CrackStreams that you believe violates copyright, you don't need to wait for the rights holder. You can report it to us via our Contact page. We review community reports to keep our directory clean and high-quality. A link to a pirated movie cam-rip, for example, has no place on a sports site, and we will remove it immediately.
